Polytechnic College, Shahdol was established in 1960 and began offering diploma courses. In the Starting name of this Polytechnic was govt. Mining Polytechnic Shahdol .In the starting Only mining & Mine Surveying Branch started. First Batch started at 1960. and Approved of Course by AICTTE at the July 1992. Area of this polytechnic about 40 Acres at District area. A brief report about the Innovation and Technical changes introduced in the Institution in last 3 years : In last three years the physical infrastructure has been changed to great extent to meet the increased capacity of students . The laboratories of the institute has been modernized with latest equipments based on Engineering Technology .
